Believer's Entrepreneurs

2Peter 3:18

The Benefits Of Grace In Your Business

Tommy and Johnson were identical that twins lived comparatively in almost the same situation: both were single, read the same course at the same university. They both worshiped at the same assembly and did almost everything in common. After several years in the Civil service, they decided to step out of their comfort zones to effectively make use of the Grace of God that is in them.  Both decided to be self-employed but not as a team rather individually. They started the same kind of business enterprise under the same economic system; there was no difference afar as the physical eyes could see. All the physical conditions were basically the same except the inward attributes that are personal as they become Entrepreneurs. Five years later Tommy had ten branches in several cities while Johnson is still struggling to remain in business with the only branch he started.  What happened?

Your Grace is unique

In life, no matter how identical people might look, they are never the same in the Spirit, and knowing that the spirit controls the physical, functioning from there becomes very sensitive. You need to always identify with the spirit and function from the right spirit at all times to enable you to succeed in your line of business. We can only relate with Him through our Spirit because God is a Spirit. He loves us so much that he planned us to succeed, prosper, and triumph in our businesses as is recorded in Genesis “it is the plan of God for us to prosper in everything good thing that we do, he made grace abundantly available for and me. This is so amazing that “God has given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness according to his divine power” (2 Peter 1:3). Our prosperity has been programmed from the beginning therefore we need to work it out by ourselves so that we can joyfully flourish and enjoy the fullness of God’s wonderful creation in Christ Jesus.

Tommy and Johnson were exposed to the same Grace, but their spirit related differently with the throne of Grace. They were not equally connected with Christ Jesus in accordance with John 15:5-7 that says “if ye abide in me and I in you the same shall bring forth much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing”. Now that grace has been made in abundance, you need to direct your compass toward it to enable you to stay focused. That grace is available in abundance will not make what you required automatically manifest in the physical. You have to make it work out with your faith in Christ Jesus; it does not matter the level of your faith. Remember Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 that “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to the mountain, move from here to there, and it will move.” You can as well say to the closed door, be opened, and it will open, and to every circumstance that is hindering your business to be moved, and it will certainly be moved if you believed.

Your Grace will attract you and your clients

Grace will make you and your business enterprise to be attractive. It attracts all-around favor. It will attract Clients to you and attracts you to clients. Likewise, it will make your goods and services to be attractive in the open market system. Companies spend so much on advertisement to make their goods and services to be attractive knowing full well that the basic goal is to make a profit. If your grace is activated, you will enjoy the favor of spending less on advertisement and publicity yet have more Clients attracted to your business. It should not be surprising to see that where two boutiques are opened in one shopping Mall, one always filled with active Clients while the other is empty.

Your Grace will direct and locate you

Grace will locate you wherever you are and will direct your footstep to locate the right person to issue the contract at the right place and at the right time. Entering an already saturated market is very risky. You will be confronted with a series of threats, discouragement, and deceptions that could scare you out of attempting. It requires extra faith and boldness to be able to start up a business in a market that is already saturated especially when many are already quitting because of tight competition. This is scarier at this point in time when lockdown as a result of the pandemic is making small businesses close up. Six years ago, when I was to register for my first Business Enterprise, I was told that I would not be able to go far because several other people had tried but did not survive the competition. The big and renowned businesses will actually do everything possible to push you out of business. That is real but as children of the Almighty God, for we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7) That was really challenging and scary, but I rejected that lie, refused to be deceived and submit to their assessment, and went ahead with my plan. Just a couple of days after the registration, I put an advertisement in the newspaper, and with 48 hours I got a major contract that immediately required the hiring of workers the following day and still on to date. The amazing thing about it was that the call came in on my way to midweek service. In a place where several people submitted proposals for a single contract, yours will be located and approved whether you are the least qualified or not because grace is not objective but selective. It will direct the footsteps of the right clients to your enterprise.

Your Grace will increase your giving

Goodwill always turns toward you in a way that your competitors will not understand. The person that is conscious of grace-life will happily do well, have enough to help others and this positioned him to always receive goodwill. For whatever a man sows, that he shall also reap and a good man out of his good treasure shall receive abundance. Itis important to be reminded at this point that every man will reap from whatsoever he had sown. A person that consciously functions in grace, receives more grace but if you do not effectively use your grace, it becomes dormant. The kingdom needs the money and needs people like you and me to promote, sponsor, and happily spread good News. So, you need to make adequate use of your God-given grace so that more grace will be given to you.

Grace will over-ride Challenges

Grow in grace: In 2 Peter 3:18, you need to “grow in the Grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Now that you know that your success in the business as a Christian is determined by the amount of grace that is in you, all that you should be striving for is an increase in the grace that is in you. Work hard enough to grab more and more portions so that you have more than enough to defeat every challenge that is ahead. As an Entrepreneur, challenges are inevitable, and you are bound to even see more of it as a Christian, but the word of God made us understand that challenges are bread before us to be eaten and grow stronger (Numbers 14:9) and it is written in Psalms 23 verse 5 that “he shall prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies and furthermore in Psalms 91 verse 12-13 the word of God says that “He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands, they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” The good thing about this that every problem that comes in our ways is there to uplift us to the next level to the glory of God our Father in heaven. The bigger the problem, the greater Testimony. Tougher challenges often gravitate towards Christians in business but the grace of God that is at work in them makes such challenges turn out to be victorious. Challenges cannot be bigger than us. It will only appear to be tough and enormous if our knowledge of God’s Word is not much. The book of 2 Peter 1:3 read “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” we were told to grow in Grace and Knowledge because knowledge is power, and the more of the word of God you have in your Spirit, the more you have to stand against the forces of darkness that wants to kick out of business.

Be Conscious of yourself

Be conscious of who you are, what you have, and with whom you are connected. Do not be scared to act because Satan knows that you are a person of unmerited favor. He will fight hard to sway you out of the business by his old trick of deceiving people and challenging them with fear. If your grace is much, you won’t be mindful of the enemy. Strive to elevate your spirit man by regularly feeding him with the word of God. Be reminded of what Jesus said in John 15:7 that “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing,” how can his words abide in you if you do not have it inside you? That is why we are advised to study the word of God and meditate on it always so that we can become prosperous. The word of God that you hear study and have in your spirit will divinely uplift you, set you on high, and position you for good success in your business.

Conclusion

The difference between Tommy and Johnson transpired in the spirit realm. It can conclusively be stated that Tommy identified, functioned, and was very conscious of his personality in Christ Jesus. It is your responsibility to recognize, function, and grow your grace so that you will be able to use it as an advantage over your competitors. The Grace of God in you will increase according to how conscious you are and how much of the truth about God’s divine power that you know. That is the reason you should know the word of God and not allowing the word to depart from your mouth as Joshua was instructed. Let the word of God dwell richly in your spirit because ignoring your spirit man means starvation and will make him be vulnerable to attack. That is a dangerous attitude as an Entrepreneur.

I pray that the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ grow in you and reflect in your business success to the glory of God in Jesus’ Name.

  1. Nice piece here.
I’m quite enlightened and motivated. A business that lacks the grace of God may not prosper as expected.
