Believer's Entrepreneurs

How your sight, thought, and tongue affects your business growth

The lifestyle of a man is a product of his thinking and confession. It was recorded in the book of Number chapter thirteen how Moses sent out some children of Israel to spy the land that they were promised and when they had returned, all the spies except Caleb and Joshua reported to Moses and the congregation that:

“We entered the land you sent us to explore, and it is indeed a bountiful country—a land flowing with milk and honey. Here is the kind of fruit it produces. But the people living there are powerful, and their towns are large and fortified. We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak!  The Amalekites live in the Negev, and the Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the hill country. The Canaanites live along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and along the Jordan Valley.” Thereafter, they added that they couldn’t go up against them because they looked stronger than they were!.

That was the mindset of failure. They already anticipated failure and if Moses and all others had complied, they would have missed the land that was willed to them by God.  It happens also in the business world. it matters how you see and conclude about whatever challenges come your way. several business owners have folded up because they could not see things from the entrepreneur’s perspective.

See things differently

An entrepreneur is an individual that creates a new business carrying all the burden alone however, one very important factor that makes them be unique is their ability to perceive and conclude. As a Christian, you have been given the mindset of a victor. The Bible says in Philippians 4:13 that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens and in Romans 8:37, the Word of God says that you have been made more than a conqueror.

Caleb was never moved. He knew how God brought them out of Captivity and led them through the wilderness. His perception, reason, and language were different. That is a man with the right spirit. In his report, he said, “let’s go at once to take the land, we can certainly conquer it!” A man with a vision is not afraid to act nor afraid to die. Caleb was functioning from the spirit because those who are of God do not walk by sight but by faith. It matters how you view things; if you lack the right perception and insight it will affect your business. What did you see when you go for a market survey? what did you see when you took the feasibility studies, and what confession did you make about your business? Former United States President, Donald Trump converted a faded railroad and a dumping ground to a hotel.

Case Study

In Genesis chapter 26, we are told how “Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.  And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great.” His sow during the famine; when others were observing the cloud, and reaped bountifully. A couple of years ago, a couple had to sell their Glossary shop because the economy was going down in their own understanding and it was taking over by a Christian brother.  A few months later, they visited the shop just to find out that the size of the shop has enlarged thrice the size with which it was sold. A business that did succeed in the hand others will certainly succeed with you because the Greater One is in you and has given you the wisdom and the understanding to see, hear and process information based on the truth and not worldly “facts”.

The power of confession

Words are spirit. They carry power and should be used rightly because according to Proverbs 22:7, “for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” You need to always be positive about your business; always prophesying with the right word: declaring how you want your business to become. Many Christian quitted their business in ignorance. If you do not receive the right message, you won’t have the right word in you. That is the reason we are here to help you achieve your desired goal by constantly feeding you with the right word. You need to always have the mindset of your Creator; the mindset of a Victor, and a conqueror so that you wouldn’t be threatened by any situation and challenges.

Time is asset

Apart from Caleb and Joshua, the time others spent on the mission was wasted. They wasted forty days of that year with nothing to show for it. Time is very precious to you as a businessman or a woman. An entrepreneur does not have the time to waste on trips that wouldn’t produce results because  as it is popularly said that “Time is Money.” No time for irrelevant things, no time for a thing that does not matter. Every single minute should be valuable to you. You should rather spend precious time nurturing your business than listening to vain stories and talking about others. The Word of God should be your major source of information because it is the way, the truth, and the life. You should spend more of your time on things that will add value to your life, your business, and the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Use your time and energy on something that will profit you: your business, your career, and the Gospel. Colossians 4:5 says “be wise in the way you live around those who are not Christians. Make good use of your time” in another translation, it says conduct yourselves with wisdom towards others making the most of the opportunity available.

Tame your tongue

Strive to tame your tongue to always speak rightly otherwise you will use your mouth to set your business empire on fire. As children of God and as believers in business, this is very important. You should know what to say, how to say it, and when to say it. Jesus said in John 7.38 that “he who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart (heart) will flow rivers of living water.” This is awesome! Out of your belly flows peace, success, joy, hope, love, encouragement, prosperity, victory, and all that pertain to godliness. Praise the Lord.

It is our calling to give people love, peace, hope, and whatever help that we can render to those in need in His stead. You are a life-giver, a hope giver, a motivator. Do not use your tongue on things that are not right. Think rightly, see rightly and speak rightly for out of your belly are flowing rivers of living water. There is no time to waste. Our goal is our priority. If you are confronted with challenges, do not spend your time talking about the negative effects but look about that situation and remind yourself of your relationship with Christ and your personality in this world.

Caleb stood out and boldly told Moses that they are able to go and take over the land and indeed they took over the land thereafter but except for Caleb and Joshua, all others could not enter the promised land. This is serious! imagine that was the enterprise; it, therefore, implies that they used their mouth to destroy their business.

In the book of John 6:63, Jesus said “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life”. This is amazing! it means the words that you speak are spirit and are because as He is so are we in this world and in John chapter 15:5 Jesus said: “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing” shows that Jesus is our source, our supplier. We derive all that we need to be fruitful, successful, prosperous, and overcomers from Him. As He is so are we in this World therefore if Jesus said that His word is spirit and is life; we can also say boldly that our words are spirit and are life. Hallelujah

Do not use your tongue to destroy yourself, your business, or your career but use it wisely to edify and build up yourself and your business and your entire world. Use your tongue to recreate your world and to set your business on the right course towards achieving your goal. Stay away from issues that will bring you, and your business to naught or destruction.

Avoid talking down on others

Talking about others’ failure or talking against the achievement of other people is a pure waste of time. Avoid gossiping about others in the business. That is one of the weapons of the devil and very dangerous is spending your time and energy talking against the achievement, prosperity, success, or the lifestyle of others especially Men of God. That is a very dangerous position because it will hinder your success.

Men of God are in the business of spreading the good news. They are at the forefront of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. They spread hope, peace, joy, and the love of Christ to others. That is a huge task. They deserve to enjoy the fruit of their labor. It is not yours to judge them, and you have no power or the right to condemn them because the final saying belongs to God alone. They are answerable only to God. How they live their lives and spent their money is personal. You will bring a curse upon yourself if you talk against them. In Samuel chapter 24, the bible recorded how David had the opportunity to kill King Saul who was after his life, but he did not because he recognized the anointing that was upon Saul. He chooses not to lay his hand on him.

See with the eyes of the spirit. Every Christian is a child of God and is a manifestation of the righteousness of Christ. They cannot be condemned for “there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit yourself.”

Avoid judging by appearance

In John chapter 8, an adulterous woman who deserved to die according to the law of Moses was brought before Jesus to be condemned, but He requested that anyone that has no wrong among the accusers be the first to cast a stone on her, but none dare to because they all had their wrongdoings. Jesus in the end could not also condemn her but allow her to go free. She was later the one that prepares his body for burial.

If Jesus does not condemn, who are you to talk against the lifestyle of men of God? Look at the case with Saul who was later known as Apostle Paul. He took permission to track down Christians and put them in jail but on his way to Damascus, he met the Lord. That should have been his last moment on the planet earth instead Jesus arrested him and made him an amazing Vessel to promote the kingdom that he was against. The Kingdom of God.

Associate with successful people

Those that talk against successful people cannot achieve success. If you talk down on people that are prospering, you won’t prosper; if you talk against people that are successful, you cannot succeed, if you talk against wealth you cannot get wealth.  Do not talk against what you are aspiring to or opting to have otherwise it won’t come to you. However, be encouraged when you see people that are achieving in life. People that are prospering; wealthy people, successful people. Strive to mix up with them. Pray for them. If you follow successful people, you will end up being a success.

If you want to build a business empire start by training your tongue. If you want a private jet, start training your tongue. Stop talking down on people’s achievements. Set aside time to pray for those people who are always making it big because their peace matters. Entrepreneurs think big, think wisely and act decisively! That is why you should always go for the word of God. You need the word of God inside you. The more you have in you the better you are positioned because you can only give from what you have. The inside is what reflects on the outside.

That is how a wise person thinks, speaks and acts. It is not yours to judge and condemn anyone. Jesus does not condemn either. If God is to consider our wrongs and error none of us will be here today.

Conclusion

Strive to have more knowledge of God’s word in you so that each time you speak, your words will carry power and give life to the lifeless. When you speak, you speak wisdom, life, success, hope, love, and peace because out of your belly flow rivers of living water. The Bible says in Ephesians 5:15-16 that “Be very careful how you live—not as unwise but as wise,  making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil”
